How to Download E Pan card Step by step Process:
- Go to any Internet Browser (example: Chrome Browser) and type in https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal in the address box.
- You will see an option for applying for e-PAN on the home screen, click on it.
- Once you entered the new window you will see a new option on your screen as 'Get New e-PAN', click on the text/button.
- Now you will enter a new window, where you will be asked to type in your Aadhaar card number, registered phone number, and your date of birth.
- Once you fill in all the details you will get an OTP on your registered mobile number.
- Hit Submit button once you are done entering your OTP.
How to Check the download status of your e-PAN card step by step:
- Go back to the home page by clicking on the logo at the top left corner of the screen or on the Text button 'Home' in the options menu.
- Search for 'Check Status/Download PAN' in the menu and sub-menu or anywhere on the home page.
- You will be redirected to a new window where you need to enter your aadhaar card and an OTP will be sent to your registered phone which you need to enter once you complete entering the OTP your ePAN downloading will start automatically after clicking on the 'Download' button.
The e-PAN will be in PDF format which you can keep/ use as a valid ID proof and can be stored in your phone to show up instantly whenever is required or ask for. Remember PAN card is a very sensitive document that can be used for a number of scams and frauds so take responsibility for your own PAn card and do not show it to a nonofficial organization or and person.
