  • Umang APP
  • Via OTP Verification on the EPFO's e-KYC Portal
  • By using EPFO's member Seva Portal and
  • With the help of Biometric credentials on the EPFO's e-KYC portal

How to Link Aadhaar with EPF using the Umang app:

  • Download Umang app from Play store(Android user) or Apple Store(IOS users)
  • Look for the 'all services' tab and select the 'EPFO' option from the menu
  • then select 'eKYC Services where you will find the Aadhaar seeding option
  • Type your UAN and tap on the 'get OTP' button
  • you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number (phone number with which you opened your EPF account) for some people the phone number may be with the third party who helped to open the EPF account in that case contact the person concerned.
  • In the Next step, enter your Aadhaar data  and verify your OTP
  • Now you will receive an additional OTP this time on the phone number with which you created your Aadhar card.
  • Once the UAN and AAdhar details are matched with each other your verification is successful.

If not, find the issue and try to make corrections in either EPF or Aadhaar card. (Do it carefully to avoid any mistakes)

How to Link Aadhaar Card to UAN using EPFO Member Sewa Portal:

For doing this you need to open your web browser either on desktop or smartphone.

  • Open the official website of the Member Sewa portal and log in with your ID and password
  • Look for the 'Manage" menu and select 'KYC' under it.
  • Select Aadhaar from the sub-menu and add a KYC document
  • Here your Aadhaar number will be required
  • click on save,
It will show you as 'pending KYC'. It is because your employer must give consent for UAN to be linked with Aadhar. Ask your Employer to accept it. Once the employer accepts it your Aadhaar is completely linked to UAN.
